Love Yourself

In today’s society, we see so many people changing the way they look to satisfy other people standards. To be honest, we all can say we have something on our bodies that we may not like or wish we could enhance or make smaller. There are so many women who have changed their appearance because of what the world may call “Beautiful”. I’m here to tell you that the only way you will accept what you look like or who you are is if you love yourself. Loving yourself can be extremely hard when you don’t know how to do it. When you grew up around negativity or full of women who never appreciated themselves. Especially if you dealt with shallow men who added to the insecurities you were already facing. Sis, Love all of you today. Don’t go another day not liking yourself and what God placed inside of you.

God created you beautiful and he says so in his word, but you have to truly believe it. I don’t care what the world may call beautiful because we don’t live to their standards. We are Christ representers so we live to God’s standards. Once you realize that you have a King who loves you unconditionally you will then realize that you can love yourself. Take your time in this process of loving yourself by spending time alone, taking yourself on a date, doing things for yourself that you would normally wait for a person to do for you. No more trying to figure out if someone loves you, love yourself. Once you love yourself you can love other people. Once you realize unconditional love you can love the unlovable. This is possible, but only with Christ. I charge you to see what God says about you by reading his word. See what he thinks of his children and how much he loves us. Then look in the mirror and began to speak over yourself. Remember, small steps are still progress.
