Single & Saved

All my single ladies! All my single ladies! So you’re single and saved and trying to figure out how to live holy in this crazy world???? There are so many things you can do while being single and saved.I did not know how to be single because I was always in a relationship or situations ( Let’s keep it real). The first year of my single season was trial and error. I would fall and get back up over and over again. I just wasn’t content with being alone. So I started “dating” meaning seeing what I liked and did not like in guys. Dating is not from God so it really didn’t work for me. So then I tried being by myself. That was definitely a journey because I began to see things in myself that God was trying to show me a long time ago.

Your single season is a time to truly embrace God and learn yourself. You will not be able to do the same things the world does because you are in Christ. So you cannot just go out with any and every guy just because you are single. This is the time where you allow God to examine your heart and mind so he can clean you up. You first have to know who you are before being with someone else. Being single and saved can be tricky when you are practicing purity. There are many men who “pretend” to go to church and love God just to get the cookies. That’s why it’s important that during your single seasons you develop gifts like wisdom and discernment to be able to identify those spirits.

Being single and saved can be difficult but there are so many rewards. You get a chance to experience God on another level, you get a chance to learn yourself, you began to see your past mistakes so you won’t make them again, you meet other women who are on the same path, you become a new person. During your single season, there is so much to do that’s doesn’t require you to fall into sin. Getting connected to a women’s ministry, serving more in church, volunteering,  go to concerts with family and friends, explore activities by yourself, create a business, support other businesses, etc.  I challenge you to explore in your single season. Don’t get all bent out of shape because of what everyone else is doing. You are where you are for a reason so take advantage of it.
